FabOverFifty.com, Founder and Editor
When I was born on March 8, 1947, I was one of the first
babies who were later designated "boomers."
Over 50 million strong, we are the smartest,
most accomplished and most active women in history.
I should know.
I've been around women like this my whole life.
Now that I'm Fab Over Fifty, I wanted to create a
website where our dynamic generation of women could
share our singular style, our exceptional experiences
and our brilliant recommendations.
We launched www.FabOverFifty.com
in February, 2010, and even if I wasn't the founder,
I'd still think it's the best site on the web for women who have so much going for us.
Prior to my work in digital media, I was an editor and publisher at Fairchild Publications
for 23 years. I also wrote for publications such as New York Magazine, Cosmopolitan,
Harper’s Bazaar, Town & Country, Parents Magazine, theNew York Daily
News Magazineand daily paper, and co-authored two books, Kid's Stuff andFigure It Out!
I became an entrepreneur in 1998 and published magazines for Liz Claiborne and Charming Shoppes,
and launched Bene, a magazine about Italian Life and Style that garnered a silver Folio Award.
My blog is about what I'm doing and thinking, and gets pretty personal at times.
It's about FOFs I meet all over the place. It's about my take on current events
and people as well as on things that happened "back in the day."
I never plot and plan what I'm going to write. I'm a pretty off-the-cuff FOF.
